Two years after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s unprecedented initiative to open the port industry up to the private sector, Philippines-based ICTSI (International Containers Terminal Services Inc.) was selected to manage Durban’s Pier 2, South Africa’s largest container terminal, alongside government-run Transnet. The Port of Ngqura will soon follow suit.
