In a communication on the evening of 20 April, the Chadian presidency reported on “the persistence of disputes between Chad and Cameroon, particularly around the issue of the alleged acquisition of the assets of the former Esso by the Savannah Energy group. It appeared that behind this company, many Cameroonian and other African personalities kept interfering with Chadian officials”.
