Norton Rose Fulbright’s Chris Down is on deck to advise Infinity Power on acquiring Lekela Power
The London-based international law firm has assembled an expanded team to advise the energy group Infinity Power on acquiring the entire pan-African wind power platform Lekela Power from the owners’ consortium. The consortium comprises UK fund Actis (60%) and Mainstream Renewable Power Africa Holdings (40%), a unit of the Irish energy group Mainstream.

The sale of Lekela to Infinity Power, a joint venture between Egyptian Infinity and Masdar of the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of the Africa Finance Corporation and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), for over $1 billion, was announced in July 2022.
