IFC injects $40 million into MNT Investments BV to grow MNT-Halan
The new equity investment will support the growth of Dutch company MNT Investments BV, which operates the Egyptian fintech MNT-Halan. This digital financial platform provides loans, consumer credit, payment services, financial services and e-commerce to small and micro businesses for underbanked populations in Egypt and the rest of Africa.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) board is expected to validate the investment on 9 April. The intention is to expand MNT-Halan‘s range of loans and financial services at a competitive cost.
