Africar Group’s Auto24 targets West African used-car market in 2023
Launched in Côte d’Ivoire in the autumn of 2022, Auto24, the company selling second-hand cars to private individuals and controlled by the Australian entity Africar Group and by minority shareholder Stellantis, intends to expand in similar markets in the sub-region, notably Senegal and Togo. The target is to sell 100,000 second-hand vehicles annually in Africa within five years.

Since 2017, Africar Group has developed a network of digital car classifieds platforms covering 46 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The ads rely on data and artificial intelligence and are written in local languages, including English, French, Swahili, Arabic, Hausa, Shona, and Wolof. Africar Group is 70% owned by Emerging Classifieds Ventures (ECV), a Sydney-based investment and digital platform development company, and 30% by Stellantis.
