The French company had filed an appeal against the Tunisian company before the Togolese regulator. The case was dismissed, and Sogea Satom lost the road contract worth more than CFAF 10 billion ($15 million).

The international call for tenders concerned the development, sanitation and asphalting of more than 14km of streets in the Togolese capital. The only candidates, the Soroubat group, chaired by Noureddine Hachicha, and Sogea Satom, proposed CFAF 11 billion and CFAF 12 billion, respectively.
