Cheikh Abdellahi Bedda, head of the Société Mauritanienne d’Electricité (SOMELEC), recently opted for the offer of the Chinese company Huizhou Zhong Cheng Electronic Technology (Zcet) and its Senegalese partner Akilee SA for its project to supply and install smart meters. The first of its kind project in the country comprises a first phase involving 15,000 meters and establishing a platform for supervising these units.
