Through its subsidiary Old Mutual Insure, Old Mutual has acquired the entire ownership of Genric Insurance Company (Genric), including the 30% stake belonging to RH Bophelo Limited (RHB), an investor in the health care sector, for a cash total estimated at almost 90 million de rands (about 5.2 million rands).
