For the 2022-2023 period, the French Development Agency (AFD) expects to commit €200 million. This follows the declaration of intent signed in May 2021 between Rwanda and France to mobilise €500 million over 2019-2023, of which more than 80% will be released by AFD, mainly in the form of loans.
