Alexis Merle, the clerk of the permanent secretariat of MARC, told Africa Business+, “We have had our rules of procedure translated into Mandarin. The objective is clearly to develop our business with Asian clients. In addition to our procedures, which are in line with international standards, we can now work in French, English and Mandarin. Furthermore, we benefit from a strategic position in the Indian Ocean, which allows us to reduce costs when moving witnesses established in Africa, for example.”
