ASI Assurance Services International (ASI) is to launch an inquiry into the lack of consultation between all parties including local communities in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria in the dispute with the local subsidiaries of the Luxembourg company Socfin.

Allegedly, the affected communities were notified only in English by the American auditor, SCS Global Services, over their land, environmental and social rights.
ASI–Assurance Services International pointed out – among other things – that the social and human rights expertise of the SCS audit team in Nigeria was also questionable.
