Rwandan Innovation Fund (RIF) prepares second round financing of $100 million
“After closing the first round of funding of $40 million last summer, the RIF managed by Angaza Capital is working on the second round of funding that would ideally be completed by the end of 2022,” Angela Homsi, president of Angaza Capital, told Africa Business+. “For this second round of funding, we are trying to bring in and interest more local African investors to support impact projects on the continent.”

The Rwandan Innovation Fund (RIF)’s first fundraising led to an investment in November 2021 of $1 million in the Rwandan company VIEBEG Technologies. The company operates in the health sector via a smart connected platform supplying medical products in the sub-region. VIEBEG was founded in 2018 by Tobias Reiter and Alex Musyoka.
