Greenlight Planet is about to take a decisive step. The company launched in 2009 by Patrick Walsh, Mayank Sekhsaria and Anish Thakkar, who met on the benches of the University of Illinois, will open its capital to a private equity behemoth based in New York managing more than $86 billion across the globe, and across all sectors.
