Nouakchott cancelled the $19.69 million contract signed at the end of December with the Soufflet Group to supply 50,000 tonnes of wheat. The agreement had been drawn up with the trading arm of the French group, headed by Michel Soufflet and his son Jean Michel Soufflet, which achieved a turnover of €4.167 billion between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021.
