DigitalBridge (ex-Colony) finances Vantage mega-data centre in South Africa
The American group Vantage Data Centers has begun construction of its first campus on the African continent, in Waterfall City in Johannesburg, at a total cost of $1 billion, financed primarily by the investment fund DigitalBridge (formerly Colony Capital).

With an available electrical capacity of 80 MW, the site will eventually house a mega-data centre, comprising three facilities, with a total surface area of 60,000 m2 and designed to accommodate hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large companies. The campus covers 12 ha.
