Its latest success is the Tabakorole project in Mali, in the famous Birimian gold belt that runs through the south of the country. A new “significant” parallel zone was discovered on 1 September by Altus, boosting the potential of the 49%-owned project in a joint venture with ASX-listed Australian Marvel Gold. Marvel had earlier secured six new licences in July, tripling the size of the project from 100 to 292km2.
