Burkinabe Ladji Boureima Ouedraogo €73 million below-market bid for Carthage Cement
According Jeune Afrique Business+ sources, Burkinabe entrepreneur Ladji Boureima Ouedreogo and his partner Inoussa Kanazoé, via the Société Internationale d’Investissement (CIM Metal Group), offered 243 million dinars (€73 million) to recover the 58.20% of the capital of Carthage Cement. The State has managed the company since 2011 as part of the assets confiscated during the revolution.

“That values the share at only 1.2 dinars, compared to 1.99 dinars today. The State will never accept the offer. In any case, there is no interest. With the recovery of the company, it will make 30 or 40 million dinars in profits this year,” stated Kais Kriaa, director of the financial company AlphaMena and specialist in raw materials.
