Speaking to Jeune Afrique Business + from San Francisco, the 30-something co-founder of the Holberton schools Julien Barbier, said “more than half” would be devoted to the African continent. The transaction, finalised last March, was underwritten by big names in the VC, including Trinity Ventures, Redpoint Eventures, Imaginable Futures and Reach Capital.
