In July 2019, the Moroccan subsidiary of the German HeidelbergCement finalised an agreement with the conglomerate Anouar Invest to purchase the grinding unit based in Laâyoune, 500 km southwest of Agadir, in May 2020. The plant’s production capacity is 500 000 tons per year.
