Although it has not yet won the war, the duo comprising Zetes, a Panasonic subsidiary, and Malian printer Graphique Industrie – founded by local businessman Aliou Tomota – at least remains in the battle to design identity documents for the Malian population. In September, the Japanese-Malian double-act saw its appeal validated by the regulator Autorité de Régulation des Marchés Publics et des Délégations de Service Public (ARMDS), and particularly by its President, Allassane Ba.
