DFC is now even more focused on low-income countries and sectors impacted by the pandemic. Speaking to Jeune Afrique Business+, the agency cites healthcare among its priorities, with “stable and resilient energy systems to help health centres, along with ventilators and medical equipment.” It plans to invest $3bn in this sector and to raise an additional $6bn from private partners. $10bn is to be allocated to energy with the aim of providing 10m people with access to electricity.
