Patel Brothers ETG subsidiary strikes a deal with MUFG Bank and IFC

The three Patel brothers, who head up one of the continent’s leading agricultural conglomerates, recently gained access to several hundred million dollars to bolster their import-export activities through their subsidiary, the ETC Group.

The subsidiary, based in Port-Louis, Mauritius, and active in 26 African markets, recently applied for an advance of $10 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support its long-term working capital needs. The request will be put before the IFC board in November.
