In 2014, Allianz SE held 8.7% of shares in Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire (SGCI), while the French bank, with a presence in 19 countries on the continent, controlled 73.3% of capital, including an indirect stake of 1.4% through SG Financial Services Holding.
