Lydec hopes to finalise revisions to its Casablanca delegated management contract in 2020

The Moroccan subsidiary of French group Suez is still waiting for standardisation of sole distribution rights to help relieve heavy investments made in drinking water and sanitation networks with new income from medium and low voltage.

Since obtaining the delegated management contract for Casablanca in 1997, revisions to the contract between Lydec and the delegating authority have been made just once. However, the terms of the concession, which extends over a period of 30 years and expires in 2027, allow for a five-yearly review.
