The audit firm recently announced the departure of two executives implicated in the Eskom scandal. Last March, Deloitte was ultimately able to reach a mutual agreement with the South African company under which the firm is to repay Eskom €7.6m in consulting fees to avoid legal action.

When contacted by Jeune Afrique Business+ via phone, the local management of the Big Four accounting organisation did not wish to comment on these decisions after the announcement of the departure of two employees.
