In the time of Covid-19, Servair carries on thanks to its “non-air” activities

Some 33% of the catering specialist’s €150m turnover in Africa (of a total €1bn group-level turnover in 2019) comes from its non-airline-related activities, which Jeune Afrique Business+ has learned are currently continuing.

Since the closure of airports across the continent on 20 March due to the global health crisis, Servair‘s activity has come to an abrupt halt. Like all companies in the sector, the airline industry supplier is forced for the immediate future to manage both its cash flow and, as far as possible, its employee activity.
