Signed at the end of 2017, the first power purchase agreements were based on an initial capacity of 500 MW to be delivered by 2025. But fast-forward to 1 April this year and the newly signed agreements between Tulu Moye Geothermal Operations (TMGO), the joint venture operating the project, public company Ethiopian Electric Power and the Ethiopian government, see this figure reduced to 150 MW by 2025, with an initial phase aiming for 50 MW by 2023.
