Contacted in Kinshasa by Jeune Afrique Business+ to find out if his appointment to replace Thierry Taeymans was temporary, Mustafa Rawji explained that he is “waiting on the Central Bank’s approval” before his promotion becomes absolutely final. “I’m currently appointed as acting CEO”, he added.
