Questioned by Jeune Afrique Business+ over the phone, Nyafe revealed that in the wake of the news he requested that his lawyers reorganise his businesses in the country so that his name is no longer included in on-site management. “All my operations in the DRC will be managed by a trust with independent directors. I’m completely stepping away,” explains the businessman in order to put a stop to the accusations of conflict of interest.
