Since 1 February, Kadijah Amoah is the new CEO of Aker Energy, the Ghanaian subsidiary of the large Norwegian industrial and maritime conglomerate Aker ASA. The group is spearheading the offshore oil mega-project Pecan (Deepwater Tano Cape Three Points) in Ghana with more than 450 million barrels of reserves. The project was just about to be launched according to the initial calendar, but it was ultimately delayed in the second half of 2019 because of its poor design and heated discussions with the Ghanaian government on taxation and local procurement.
