Triple superphosphate production is expected to double at the national level to reach 900,000 tonnes per year. Triple superphosphate, the result of reacting finely ground phosphate rock with liquid phosphoric acid, is a basic ingredient in the composition of fertilizers and is therefore in great demand among major international chemical industries. Strengthening business in this sector is one of the objectives assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Mines to Abderrazak Ouanassi, CEO of GCT, who was appointed in October 2019.
