Telecel Group, the Mauritius-based holding (revenue of $50m in 2018), plans to widen the network of its subsidiary Telecel Centrafrique, the leading operator in the sector ahead of the local arm of France’s Orange. Headed by Malek Atrissi, the company has gained around 100,000 new subscribers over the past twelve months and now provides services to 700,000 customers. In 2018 it recorded revenue of $28m with a positive EBITDA.
